About the WBC

Established in 1921, the Women's Bond Club of New York is one of the oldest professional organizations for women in finance.

The Women's Bond Club provides education, mentoring and networking opportunities for women in finance and finance-related industries. We accomplish this by sponsoring events and community service activities, and by developing relationships with corporate sponsors and other not-for-profit institutions that support women.

Our membership reflects buy-side and sell-side across financial services, and a cross-section of executive management, consulting, and technology functions.

Founded by Betty Cook, a Cornell University graduate, who began working for Hemphill Noyes in 1908 and remained there nearly half a century.

Under Betty Cook's tenure as president of the Women's Bond Club of New York, the organization developed the mission and philosophy that have remained largely intact to this day.
