In November 2009, Credit Suisse's IT Women's Council sponsored and hosted the Women's Bond Club event, "Renewed Optimism: Strengthening and Recognizing the Bonds We Share," which focused on strategies for renewal in the Wall Street community.

Credit Suisse's Marinela Tudoran, Head of Equities Technologies-Americas and the Chair of the Americas IT Women's Council, served as the event's host. She first welcomed Mayra Sacco, Board member of the Women's Bond Club and Managing Director, Bank of New York Mellon, who welcomed representatives from major financial institutions and provided an overview of the Women's Bond Club mandate and mission. Mary Whalen, Head of Public Policy Americas at Credit Suisse then opened by providing an update and pulse check from Washington, briefly recapping the latest in policy and regulatory news.

Following Ms. Whalen, Fern Lopez, Global Head of Derivatives IT, shared his perspectives on the financial crisis and discussed his reasons for optimism going forward. Finally, Mr. Lopez shifted from presenter to moderator, leading a discussion on dark liquidity pools and OTC derivatives, featuring Todd Sandoz, Co-Head of IB Equities Americas; Grace Koo, Head of Equity Derivatives Sales & Structuring for Institutional Investors-Americas; and Dan Mathisson, Head of Advanced Execution Services.

The Credit Suisse IT Women's Council's mission is to identify, foster, and promote talented women throughout IT via targeted programs.
