About the Partnership: Urban Assembly School of Business for Young Women & The Women's Bond Club
The school is a public high school focused on motivating disadvantaged girls to go to college, oriented around encouraging careers in business.
The WBC provided the school with a 3-year grant beginning in 2008 to support their college trips and participation in College Summit, a program supporting the college application process.
In addition, the WBC holds events with UASBYW throughout the year to strengthen our partnership and provide non-financial forms of support.
From www.uasbyw.org:
Our program will prepare young women to:
- Become socially-conscious business leaders
- Gain admission to and succeed at competitive post-secondary institutions
- Utilize transferable technical skills that can be applied in the world of business
