Programs

The WBC is pleased to support a number of programs that focus on the community and our future women leaders.

The WBC awards $20,000 scholarships to qualified young women graduates of New York City public high schools who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in business as part of our Scholarship Program. A list of participating schools is available here and under the Scholarship Program tab. Once students receive their scholarship they are placed into the hands of experienced mentors who will assist them with their career development and networking. This program known as the Guiding Star Mentoring Progam is a 12 month commitment for the mentor and mentee.

As part of career development for program participants, WBC and mentors provide encouragement and support in obtaining summer internships and full-time employment. To date, WBC has been very successful and some of these stories can be found here
Scholarship Success Stories

The WBC is also deeply involved in several Charitable Giving programs from supporting the Urban Assembly School of Business for Young Women (UASBYW) to Dress for Success.
